The Royal Chelsea Hospital, built by Wates Construction, is attached to the Christopher Wren home for the Chelsea pensioners. The infirmary serves as a care home for the occupants as and when they need specific medical help.
The internal fit-out has a traditional feel, yet has all the advantages of cutting edge linings and ceilings systems.
The internal walls of the bedrooms are finished with traditional basecoat and skim plaster whilst the corridors are drylined and set out to work with the cabinet joinery. A bespoke cast plaster coving finishes off the regal feel to the space within the corridors.
SAS hinged mega panels, framed with 100mm wide C profiles, provide good access to the ceiling void and make provision for maintenance.
The chapel of rest has unique ornate features and details finished to exceptional standards.
