Carlton Ceilings & Partitions was responsible for the design, supply and installation of the suspended ceilings to the office and reception areas of 8-13 Lime Street, London.
SAS system 330 was used for the 4,050m
2 office ceiling. 1200 x 300mm perforated planks with acoustic backing pads were laid between 300 wide trimstrips suspended from a 38x19 channel sub grid.
Where the tiled ceiling followed the curve of the building facade, bespoke faceted trimstrips were designed to maintain the ceiling module.
Perimeter margins were formed from taped and jointed plasterboard on MF grid work, with bespoke metal blind boxes to the windows. Linear and circular grilles, down lighters and sprinklers were cut into the plasterboard margins.
The reception ceiling totaling an area 95m
2 was constructed from taped and jointed plasterboard on an MF grid, with straight and curved upstands at changes in level.
The ceiling incorporated recessed light troughs.
