MPG was appointed specialist contractor to fit-out washrooms on 10 levels and delivering the integration of drylining, M&E and decorating, and also design services. To achieve specified finishes, construction was to extremely tight tolerances.
MPG's other activities on site were fit-out of lift cores and stairways.

Chelmsford Granite flooring was sourced from a quarry in Boston, USA to meet grain direction and colour consistency criteria. MPG proactively managed quality assessments, visiting the supplier in Italy and the quarry so the project director could personally check compliance.

MPG produced cutting schedules and every stone was dimensioned and the grain direction identified via MPG's engagement.

MPG book-matched Weathered Sycamore to each washroom, ensuring cubicles and doors were consistent in colour and grain. Partitions were set out to zero tolerance to enable modulated back-painted glass panels to be installed to both head and base. MPG designed stainless steel frames to allow service voids to be accessible but inconspicuous to users.

Duravit sanitaryware was installed with Geberit concealed frames and flush-faced access doors. Setting out was by MPG to achieve specified 2 ? 3mm tolerances for shadow gaps and toilet cubicle and stone layouts.

Washroom mock-ups were built at MPG's innovation centre to identify interface issues. This was at MPG's decision and cost, resulting in significant learning before site work. The need for excellent interface management was identified early.
