As part of the Newcastle Hospital PFI project, PAN Interiors was appointed by Laing O'Rourke Northern to install suspended ceilings throughout the building.

With over 50,000m2 of ceilings this was a mammoth task involving close co-ordination with both the main contractor, Laing O'Rourke and the M&E contractor, Crown House Technologies.

PAN's expertise in the healthcare sector and close understanding of the HTM guidelines allowed it to provide a fully compliant bid in a competitive environment whilst ensuring that all relevant performance requirements were satisfied.

Various solutions from the Rockfon Medicare range were utilised along with drywall solutions from Knauf Drywall and metal pan suspended ceilings from SAS International.

The scale of room numbers and the variety of room types allied to working within an operation healthcare site posed a large number of challenges and PAN were delighted to gain such positive feedback from the client.
