Redbridge Interiors undertook the refurbishment and remodelling of Rothschild's Manchester office at 82 King Street. The design was split between in-house interior designer Georgina Hoyle and Simon Reid of Reid Architects who designed the reception area.
Redbridge Interiors' works involved the removal of an internal staircase the foot print of which was subsequently filled in. This allowed the offices and meeting rooms to be reconfigured to make better use of the space. Steel stud and plasterboard partitions were used to create the rooms with skirting to match the existing detail. Walnut veneered doors were fitted with brushed steel ironmongery to suit. Desso carpet tiles were fitted to the reconfigured offices with Polyflor Polysafe used in the tea point and shower room. A stone floor was fitted to the reception area.
Data and electrics were provided throughout using floor boxes. Also the fire alarm and sprinkler system were amended to suit the new layout. Hacel light fittings were used in the office areas with a new system from Delta Light used in the reception area. A bespoke reception desk was created along with storage wall. Some elements of the previous installation were reused including glass partitions and storage units reducing wastage.
