Carried out in conjunction with BDB Design Build, the works consisted of various types of drylining, MF ceilings and Durlam metal plank ceilings using Rockfon Pacific Tegular tiles.

Tapper Interiors has completed a number of projects working with SDA Architects from Leeds, but this was their first project for BDB.

A curved and sloping wall and bulkhead form the two main features of the showroom.
The setting out of the walls and the Durlam ceilings was carried out by hand before the tiles were on site, this was due to the late decision on the choice of tiles and the long lead time involved. The tolerance of the selected tiles was 0.5mm so setting out was critical.

Two thirds of the way through the project, construction light boxes were introduced which involved re-designing parts of the wall for structural reasons.

When completed Audi Europe visited the site and commented that it was the best showroom they had seen in Europe.
