The project was to upgrade an existing building of The University of Hull to give a high impact appearance to the interior. It was decided on a plain white MF ceiling in the shape of a fish. Walls were lined with Gyptone Line 6 Boards and ceilings generally were USG Olympia.

The Demonstration Room would be a point of contact with the University and needed to give the appropriate ?wow factor?.

An MF ceiling with upstands and drop beams and an infill area of Armstrong Dune Plank was used. An integrated lighting scheme using hidden and optical fibre lighting emphasised the shape and contour.

Dawber Williamson was required to work to the exacting plans of Messrs Farrell and Clark, architects. The whole ceiling was taped and jointed to achieve a monolithic clean white finish.
