This contract required a refurbishment to the existing reception lobby and waiting area. The client also wanted to re-model and refurbish the visitors WC facilities and create a new DDA compliant accessible WC.
The area of works was a high traffic and customer facing space which required detailed project management to ensure minimal disruption. A functioning reception area and WC facilities were required throughout the project as these were highly used areas; this resulted in much of the works being done out of hours.
Redbridge Interiors provided interior design advice, space plans including designs of the new WC facilities and detailed drawings of the reception desks. The finishes and colours were chosen to revitalise the space whilst incorporating existing finishes and corporate colours.
The areas of work included: demolitions; installation of metal frame stud and glazed partitions; joinery works; installation of floor coverings including carpet tiles and safety flooring; restoration of parquet flooring; creation of oval coffered ceiling to lift lobby; installation of suspended ceilings; installation of lighting and power (specified in-house by Arup); alterations to plumbing; decoration; new signage and the manufacture and installation of reception desks.
