Bespoke solutions have always been one of Lindner?s core competencies and satisfying the demands of Pascall + Watson Architects, BA and BAA at London?s Heathrow T5 was no exception.
The BA/BAA offices and back of house areas called for a partition system to combine and fulfil many challenging but highly important criteria in one stroke. The main requirement was to provide a high quality appearance at an affordable price without affecting the final acoustic properties of the installed system.
1,000lm of Lindner glazed partition system LS137, usually double glazed, was modified into a single glazed unit providing the required aesthetics of a slim-line flush glazed, frameless finish whilst still achieving the specified acoustic value of 35dB.
Tailoring the system also meant customising the doors with suitable aluminium frames, as well as adapting the aluminium extrusions, usually suited to double glazing, for a single glazing application.
