Work Interiors acted as interior designer and interior contractor to transform the space at Lowry House. The client wanted to create something that would set it apart from its competitors and assist with attracting occupants into the building – much like the feeling of walking into a prestigious 5 star hotel.
The truly inspiring transformation redefined the use of the welcome and reception space to create a modern and remarkable experience for visitors and clients.
Key features of the design included:
• striking combination of wood, metal and glass
• a dramatic double floor meeting area decorated in spectacular red hues
• New ‘futuristic’ style lift which was central to the design transporting visitors directly to the mezzanine floor.
Guest judge – Jack Pringle, partner Pringle Brandon commented:
‘The client’s innovative approach to office support facilities and services centered on the building’s reception produced a challenging brief. This was translated by Work Interiors into a clear conceptual design, full of legible shapes around a double height space. These provide meeting rooms, breakout areas and support offices in addition to the normal reception and security sequence. Energy and sustainability featured heavily in the design and procurement and the build quality is first class.’
