Skandia UK are a forward thinking, progressive financial services company committed to investing in their working environment to support their quest to achieve top 100 status in the Sunday Times Employer of Choice rankings.

PiMS Workspace was selected to redesign and refurbish the Southampton portfolio of Skandia UK. The main aim was to produce a light and productive working environment whilst increasing occupancy density.

PiMS Workspace interviewed all department heads to understand existing and forecasted headcount, workflow requirements and critical adjacencies.

Working in partnership with the Skandia UK team, PiMS Workspace organised tours of partition and furniture suppliers to assist in the selection of suitable systems for use across the portfolio. Komfort Polar Glazed partitioning system was selected to maximise natural light and for its acoustic and aesthetic properties. Herman Miller and Eurotek furniture systems were chosen for their flexibility and environmental credentials. New LG lighting and PIR detection was fitted throughout to minimise energy usage.
